Tickets Are On Sale for SIARAD, Spoken Word Theatre
"Reid's delivery is masterful. This is poetry of the best kind."
Alice Gorman, Adelaide Fringe Review
With the brilliant assistance and support of theatre-maker Emma Beech, Goodwood Theatre & Studios, Spineless Wonders and Andy Hunt, I'll present 5 shows across 3 days: Friday, September 17th - Sunday, September 19th 2021.
SIARAD pulses with images of stars and stray dogs, highways with no horizon and mothers with fading memories, a blend of poetry and storytelling with a consistent element of humour and surprise.
Here are some responses from those who came to SIARAD at Adelaide Fringe Festival:
Such a brilliant show! I loved it!!
I forgot I was even in the theatre. Thank you.
If you love words and writing, this is just the perfect show.
Such a fine show. Perfectly paced. A whole other layer of meaning in that context.
Poetry and storytelling have never been in safer hands than they are with Caroline Reid.
Beautiful, moving and funny.
I heard every word, watched every moment, Caroline's storytelling is so engaging.
Fluid, engaging, well-paced.
"If you have ever received sage advice from a young person, been served a laksa with only one prawn, or loved a person with dementia, you will find something here to slip into your own red suitcase. You will love this show. I did." Project 54 (Pam Makin)
SIARAD is a Welsh word meaning to speak, and I've been speaking poetry out loud in slams and spoken word event for the past six years. But in this show I've had time to go deeper into storytelling and connect more fully with audiences. And I've loved doing that.
Studio 166 is an intimate space with limited seating capacity. So if you usually leave booking until the last minute (I know I do!) may I suggest moving a little faster on this one? Don't be a regretful hen.
yours in creativity,
